The Start Circular Project successfully organised the EcoCircular Festival at the University Of Montpellier. An outstanding success in close collaboration with the dedicated students of master MTEEC. We organized an impactful event at the Richter campus of the University of Montpellier. Our primary objective was to deepen and broaden the knowledge of circular economy principles within the academic community.

We were honored to host over ten organizations, each showcasing their approaches toward sustainability. Among our participants were Montpellier Métropole, Montpellier Zéro Déchets, La Graine monnaie locale, Godwin, MaSaison, LezPrit Réquipe, Les Shifters, Île Des Possibles, VegNature, L214, Sentinelle Des Rivières, Incubateur INITIUM, and C.L.O.P.E.
Throughout the event, students and university staff had the opportunity to immerse themselves in engaging and enriching activities. These included think tank conferences followed by debates on sustainable transition and the circular economy. In addition, participants had the privilege of participating in interactive workshops, such as that of 2tons hosted by the Mouvement Circulaire Etudiant. A captivating fresco on the circular economy was hosted by Île Des Possibles. And to add an element of excitement, we organized an exciting scavenger hunt, encouraging attendees to explore the different stands and learn more about sustainable initiatives.

We express our deepest gratitude to the enthusiastic CHARM-EU students for their active involvement and enthusiasm, especially during the inaugural workshop. As a thank you for their participation, participants received rewards including a deck of cards, delicious locally made artisanal ice cream and the chance to enter a draw for prizes, such as a bamboo speaker and a bank of solar energy.
We would like to sincerely thank all the organizations and individuals whose contributions helped make this event a resounding success. We would particularly like to thank Montpellier Management for providing us with their facilities. We are also deeply grateful to the DRI and MTEEC students for their assistance throughout the planning and execution of this memorable event.
